Interpretation

Use annual and hourly differences together; neither is a complete job decision alone.

3. Validation and boundary checks

  • Both offers use independently entered schedules.
  • Committed hours include additional unpaid time and commuting.
  • At least one compensation component per offer must be positive.

4. Assumptions and source classification

  • Benefit values and variable pay are user assumptions.
  • Amounts are gross and pre-tax.
  • Each entered schedule repeats for its weeks per year.

This calculator has no current policy-data dependency. Its work and pay assumptions are user supplied. Registered family-level regression suites exercise the shared work-logic engine and worked-result reconciliation.

5. Limitations

  • No local tax or employment rule is applied.
  • Qualitative role differences are not valued.
  • Future variable pay and benefits may change.

6. Update and evidence policy

Registered family-level suites test formula invariants and example reconciliation; the release ledger records that coverage without claiming a separate oracle for every line of public copy. There is no official threshold or benchmark to refresh for this calculator. Work and pay inputs remain user-supplied because they vary by person, job and contract.
