3. Validation and boundary checks

  • Each schedule has positive paid hours and compensation.
  • Benefits and costs remain independently entered.
  • Committed hours include unpaid time and commuting.

4. Assumptions and source classification

  • Both scenarios use user-entered gross values.
  • Weeks and schedules represent typical years.
  • No tax or local benefit eligibility is inferred.

This calculator has no current policy-data dependency. Its work and pay assumptions are user supplied. Registered family-level regression suites exercise the shared work-logic engine and worked-result reconciliation.

5. Limitations

  • Career progression and schedule flexibility are not valued.
  • Benefits may not scale linearly with hours.
  • Local part-time protections are outside the calculation.
