How to compare full time vs part time decisions

Compare full-time and part-time scenarios without assuming hours, benefits or costs scale equally.

Treat the labels as descriptions, not legal classifications

Interpret annual value, hourly value and parity separately

The annual difference measures compensation and entered benefits after direct costs. The hourly difference also reflects each scheduleโ€™s unpaid and commute time. A shorter schedule can therefore narrow the hourly gap without closing the annual gap.

With all other part-time inputs held fixed, 51,894.44 of part-time base pay would match the full-time roleโ€™s effective hourly value. That is an hourly-parity threshold, not the salary needed to match 89,000 of annual value.

Review schedule quality outside the arithmetic
